The Department of Economics organized an Industrial visit-cum-Educational Trip to Dainik Savera Newspaper Printing Press and Editing Office situated at Jalandhar on 20th October 2022. The tour comprised 15 students from the Department of Economics who were accompanied by Dr. Anupam Sabharwal and Ashu Aggarwal. The students were acquainted with various aspects related to printing like cost elements, distribution channels, and pricing strategy. Several questions were asked by the students with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students got an opportunity to take a tour of the working of the printing press. The visit was quite successful as the students were enlightened with practical exposure to the particularities of the print world.
Motive:-The aim of this visit was to provide exposure to the students about the functioning of the printing press and to augment their experiential learning to supplement their classroom learning.
Outcome:- Students were enlightened about the basic functioning of the Printing press, like their cost elements, distribution channels and pricing strategy.
