Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell of Hindu Kanya College Kapurthala organized a 'Recipe Formulation Competition on Millets' on 30th September 2022 to aware the students of the nutritional value and benefits of Millets as the Ministry of Education, Government of India has declared the years 2022 - 2023 as International Year of Millets.
Vidhi Sharma from B. Com.1st Sem, Muskan from BA 1st Sem, and Muskan from 10+1 secured the first, second, and third positions respectively. The competition was adjudged by Jaswant Kaur, Head, Department of Physical Education and Sarika Kanda, Head, Department of Home Science. Madam Principal Dr. Archna Garg congratulated the winners and advised students to add Millet to their diet as it is a good source of protein, fiber, and minerals and keeps the body healthy and strong.
Motive:- To aware the students of the nutritional value and benefits of millet.

Outcome:- Students came to know about the nutrition-enriched recipes made from Millet and also learned how to showcase their culinary skills.
