*Road Safety Awareness Program at Hindu Kanya College*

The ‘Joy of Safety’ – Road Safety Awareness Program was organized at Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala on 7th April 2026, with the joint efforts of the NSS units and Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited. Mr. Vikhyat Singh from Value Life Foundation graced the occasion as the Resource Person. This program has been an initiative of Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited, implemented by Value Life Foundation. Its objective is to promote road‑safety awareness among youth and encourage them to ride two‑wheelers with full responsibility. Mr. Vikhyat Singh sensitized the girl students about traffic rules, defensive riding, helmet usage, and safe behaviour on the roads through interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and community engagement. Volunteers participated enthusiastically in the quiz organized as a part of the program, and winners were given helmets, gifts and certificates.Four student volunteers—Harshdeep Malhi, Davinderdeep Kaur, Laxmi and Preeti—were appointed as Road Safety Ambassadors for their contribution in spreading awareness in society. Through this program, Suzuki Motorcycle India and Value Life Foundation promoted safe roads, responsible mobility, and a culture of road safety. The College Principal, Dr. Archna Garg, appreciated the event organized with the aim of raising awareness among students. NSS Program Officers Dr. Amanjyoti, Dr. Suvit Das and Mrs. Hardeep Kaur along with 109 student volunteers, attended the program. Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur, NSS Program Officer, anchored the proceedings.
