NSS Unit, Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala with collaboration of Nehru Yuva Kendra conducted a cleanliness drive in Shalimar Bagh under the 'Swachhta Hi Seva' campaign, which started with all the volunteers taking a pledge towards cleanliness. Under Swachhta Hi Seva campaign, cleanliness activities are being conducted across the district from 17 September to 2 October, under which the youth are actively participating in the campaign and collecting single-use plastic waste and spreading awareness to reduce its use.
Motive:
The aim of this campaign was to make people aware about cleanliness.

This campaign created awareness among people that they should keep their surroundings clean
