Seminar on *World Thalassemia Day*

To mark World Thalassemia Day, Red Ribbon Club organized a talk on 13th May, 2022 to raise awareness among the volunteers about Thalassemia being a blood disorder, myths related to disease and to help the patients lead a normal life. Ms. Jasbir Kaur, Assistant Professor in Biology explained that thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder that passes from parents to the children. She also described that there are several types of thalassemia disease and its treatments depend on its types and severity.
Motive: To highlight the causes, symptoms and preventive measures of thalassemia to avoid its transmission
Outcome : The students were acquainted in detail about the disease thalassemia.
