An awareness talk on ''Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace' was organised by the Students Legal Literacy Cell for the college students. Advocate Deepti Marwaha and Advocate Vibhuti Sharma from District Courts, Kapurthala apprised students about the different forms of sexual harassment of women at work place and elaborated the special acts and legal provisions available to protect women rights.

Motive : To make girl students aware of their legal rights and special legal provisions supporting women rights.

Outcome : Students were enlightened about special acts and legal provisions available to protect women rights and their modesty like the POSH Act enacted by the Government of India in 2013 and Section 354 under the Indian Penal Code. They were also made aware about the grave concerns pertaining to sexual harassment. Students were motivated to stay vigilant for their legal rights as well as their duties.
