An Extension- cum - Awareness Talk on 'Orodental Care and Hazards of Tobacco' was arranged by Red Cross Unit of the college in collaboration with the Civil Hospital, Kapurthala. Dr. Kapil Dogra, Deputy Director, Dental- cum- DDHO, Kapurthala made students aware about E- Dant Sewa App and the feasible ways of tooth care and oral hygiene. Dr. Gurdev Singh Bhatti, Dental Medical Officer from Civil Hospital, Kapurthala enlightened students about how to save oneself from the severe tooth related diseases.

Outcome : Students were advised to visit expert dentist after every six months for complete dental checkup and not becoming the easy victim of the quacks i.e. the emerging medical fraudulents. They were also informed about the proper way of cleaning the teeth and gums and regarding flossing steps . Students were encouraged to consume healthy diet for safeguarding teeth as well as entire body. Students' myths and queries related to scaling, root planning, RCT, teeth whitening, dentures and tooth implants were also resolved .
