Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

Motive- To provide knowledge about the unknown incidence of Jallianwala Bagh which was held on 13th April ,1919.

Report -On *13th April, 2022* , the Department of History of Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala commemorated the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence by highlighting the significance of 13th April 1919 AD in Indian History.at under the patronage of College Principal, Dr. Archna Garg. Dr. Amanjyoti, Assistant Professor from Department of History enlightened the students about the history of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre that took place during the Indian Independence Struggle. Unarmed Indians were shot mercilessly by General Dyer, causing the death of thousands of innocent Indians. On this occasion, Anjali, a student of B.A. 4th Semester recited a poem on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, entitled "Jallianwala Bagh Di Mitti". A collage depicting the bloody massacre at Jallianwala Bagh was also displayed. Principal Dr. Archana Garg and all the teachers of the college were also present.

Outcome - Students were make aware about the incident that occurred in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, the Black day in the history of the world.
