The Business Forum of the P.G. Department of Commerce and Management commemorated 'World Entrepreneurs' Day' promoting the venture "Naye Udhami, Pehli Udaan". Mr Gursharan Singh, Branch Manager highlighted the government schemes for finance and loans available for women entrepreneurs. Mr. Rajnish Kant , Manager,LDM office, PNB and Mr.Karanjit, Block Program Manager, Village Development Department, Punjab Government, enlightened about the self-help groups for the women. Ms. Ranjit Kaur, Centre Incharge, Kapurthala, Financial Literacy Centre, RBI apprised the audience about the digital payments and insurance schemes. Ms. Navjot Kaur Sidhu, Founder F9, encouraged the young entrepreneurs to work earnestly despite all challenges. The highlights of the Stall were Home Decor, DIY products, scrunchies, footmats, bows, wall hangings, nail extensions, power polish, cakes, brownies, customised candles, hair clips, keychains, rakhis, earrings, paintings, pots, dresses and handbags.

Outcome: This venture provided a platform to the young and budding women entrepreneurs from the college, Alumnae and the entrepreneurs from the city to display their products and exhibit their entrepreneurial skills. The enlightening talks of the resource persons made entrepreneurs aware about the self help groups, government schemes for finance and loans available for women entrepreneurs.
