Celebration of 75th Year of Independence

NSS, NCC and Red Ribbon Club of Hindu Kanya College organized a program in the series of activities to commemorate 75th year of Independence. Dr Aman Jyoti, NSS Program Officer informed the students about the importance and history of three colours of our national flag. Dr Kulwinder Kaur, Head Department of Hindi, shared her views about the history of freedom struggle. A video depicting the importance of national flag was also displayed. Principal Dr. Archna Garg encouraged the students to respect our national flag and imbibe the feelings of patriotism. The program ended with national anthem. Dr Rajwinder Kaur hosted the stage. NCC cadets, volunteers of NSS and members of Red Ribbon Club were present on the occasion.

Purpose-The purpose of this activity to inform the NSS Volunteers about the importance of the three colors of the Indian tricolor flag as well as to inform them about the glorious history of India.

Outcome - Through this activity, the volunteers came to know about the different movements started for the independence of India and also they got information about the importance of the three colors of the Indian tricolor flag and the Ashoka Chakra
