Celebration of National Voter's Day
The Electoral Literacy Club of Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala organized an awareness program on the occasion of National Voters' Day on January 24, 2026. The aim was to educate students about the importance of Voters' Day as well as the proper use of their votes. Addressing the students, the Convener of the Electoral Literacy Club, Mrs. Varinder Kaur, explained the significance of voting, stating that the right to vote is our constitutional right. She emphasized how every voter can contribute to steering the nation in the right direction through the responsible use of their vote. She appealed to the youth to cast their votes wisely and play an invaluable role in building a strong India. She also motivated the students to get their Voter IDs made. On this occasion, the students also took a pledge to exercise their voting rights. Kirat, a student from the Music Department, gave a beautiful rendition of the song to motivate the young volunteers.
