*Awareness Talk on 'World No Tobacco Day' organized at Hindu Kanya College*

The Red Ribbon Club of Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala observed 'World No Tobacco Day' on 2nd June 2025 by organizing an awareness talk to educate students about the harmful effects of tobacco and tobacco products. Mrs. Sarika Kanda, Convener of the Red Ribbon Club raised awareness among students about the health problems caused by tobacco consumption and emphasized that such substances are not only harmful but also life-threatening. She also discussed the COTPA-2003 (Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act) and its provisions. Focusing on the theme for 'World No Tobacco Day 2025' that is "Unmasking the Appeal - Exposing Industry Tactics on Tobacco and Nicotine Products," she encouraged students to avoid tobacco consumption and spread awareness in society.
