Commemoration of the 10th National Constitution Day
'10th National Constitution Day' was commemorated to educate students about the importance of the Indian Constitution and to raise awareness about their duties. Mrs. Varinder Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, addressed the students and highlighted the significance of National Constitution Day.On this occasion, Mrs. Seema Rani, Head of the Department, Dr. Amanjyoti and students took an oath to fulfill their duties as ideal citizens, protect the unity and integrity of the nation, and uphold the principles of the Constitution.
Motive : To educate students about the key features and components of the Indian Constitution and their importance.
Outcome: Students learnt about the past and present significance of the Indian Constitution. They learnt that the Indian Constitution was adopted on November 26, 1949, and came into effect on January 26, 1950, to ensure the smooth functioning of the country. They were also made aware about the distinctive features of the Indian Constitution, that it is the longest in the world and was originally handwritten in Hindi and English. Students also learnt about the importance of the the Preamble to the Constitution, which is its soul, providing insight into the Constitution's principles and objectives. The activity enhanced the knowledge base of the students and enthused them to celebrate important national days.
