Declamation Contest on 'Drug Free Punjab'
A Declamation Contest on the topic 'Drug-Free Punjab' was organized by the Students Legal Literacy Cell of the College as per directions of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar( Mohali). The students enthusiastically participated, expressing their views on the growing drug problem in Punjab and discussing possible solutions. Sukhamanpreet Kaur, daughter of S. Dalbir Singh from 10+2 Arts, secured the first position, while Bhumika, daughter of Mr. Sunil Kaura from 10+2 Commerce, was awarded the second place.
Motive : 1. To raise awareness among students about the dangers of drug abuse and its impact on society.
2. To encourage students to take a stand against drug addiction and promote a healthy lifestyle.
3. To provide a platform for students to express their views and opinions on the issue.
Outcome: Students gained awareness about the issue of drug abuse and its consequences. The contest encouraged students to think critically about solutions to the problem and take a pledge against drug addiction. Participants developed public speaking and advocacy skills, empowering them to be agents of change in their community.
