On June 5, 2023, NSS units of Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala celebrated World Environment Day by distributing plants in the village Rupanpur. The theme for this year's World Environment Day was *Ecosystem Restoration*.

Motive: The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about the importance of restoring and preserving our ecosystems.

Outcome: Volunteers played a crucial role in creating a positive impact on the community by encouraging the adoption of sustainable practices and promoting environmental conservation.

A wide variety of saplings like mango, guava, jamun and bhel patri suitable for the local ecosystem were distributed and planted in the village. Madam Principal, Dr. Archna Garg appreciated the efforts of the NSS units saying that plants can be beneficial in restoration of the ecosystem.
