District Level Neighbourhood Youth Parliament Program and myriad awareness activities were organised at the college in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kapurthala. S. Gurpreet Singh Gill, S.P. Kapurthala graced the event as the Chief Guest. The Guest of the Honour, Mrs. Anu Sharma, Civil Surgeon and Mrs. Gagandeep Kaur, District Youth Officer, Nehru Yuva Kendra were present to inspire the students.Mrs. Seema Rani, Head, Department of History delivered a motivational talk on 'Women Empowerment'. Students of the Host college presented an impactful Mock Parliament and debated on the factors responsible for the drug addiction in Punjab. S. Lal Singh, an Expert on Millets enlightened the audience about the health benefits and the optimum consumption of millets. A special quiz on general elections was also conducted by Mrs. Varinder Kaur from the Department of Political Science.

Motive : The prime aim of these activities was to make youth aware about the initiatives taken by the Government; to educate them about the social issues and spread health awareness among them.

Outcome : Students received an overview of the parliament and its basic functioning through the enactment of the Mock Parliament. They also came to know about the initiatives taken by the government. They were enlightened about the pertinent issues related to women empowerment. They were also made aware about the health benefits of adding millets in their daily diet.
