On the theme of "Nothing like Voting, I vote for sure", Department of Social Sciences of Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala observed 13th National Voter's Day by organizing an Essay Writing Competition in which students expressed their valuable views on the importance of vigilant voting for selecting their political representatives righteously. Taniya of 10 +1, Parminder Kaur of B.A.-2nd Semester and Riya of 10+2 were declared the best entries from Punjabi, Hindi and English mediums respectively. The conference hall echoed with the motivational song, "Mein Bharat hoon, Bharat hain mujhme" released by The Election Comission of India on the occasion. Students were also made to participate in the Voter's pledge ceremony in which all students took a pledge to cast their vote as responsible citizens.
