Motive -Give the information about different phases of the National Movement of India from 1857 AD to 1947 AD.

Report- Department of History and Political Science of Hindu Kanya College organized an Extension Lecture dedicated to 75th anniversary of Indian Independence under the able guidance of Madam Principal, Dr. Archana Garg. Dr Satish Kapoor, Director, Hindu Kanya College, shared his views on the topic *Trends in Indian Nationalism*. Dr. Kapoor elaborated on how East India Company prevailed its dominance in India and enlightened the students about various phases of Indian freedom struggle from 1857 to 1947. He also quenched the curiosities of the students related to the topic.

Outcomes- To impart knowledge about growing anger against the Colonial Government brought together various groups and classes of Indians into a common struggle for freedom in the first half of the 20th century.
