Motive- To impart knowledge about Indian History.
Report-A seminar was organized by the History Department of Hindu Kanya College Kapurthala in which Dr. Jaswant Singh, the former Head of the History department of Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia Government College, Kapurthala, participated as the main speaker. Addressing the seminar, Dr. Jaswant Singh spoke about Indian History and its importance in the present day. He enlightened in detail about the Indian National Movement and the Indian Economy and Education System of India etc. He informed the students about the establishment of the Indian National Congress and the movements led by Mahatma Gandhi.
Outcome -During this lecture, the students got to know why Mahatma Gandhi started different movements during the freedom struggle of India.
