An Extension Lecture on 'Physical Activities - An Integral Part of One's Life' was organized by the Sports Club of the college, with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle among students. Dr. Amandeep Singh, Director, Youth Welfare and Head of the Department of Physical Education, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, graced the occasion as the Resource Person. In his address Dr. Amandeep emphasized the importance of sports and physical activities in daily life. He illustrated the significance of physical activities with examples from ancient cultures and advised students to limit their use of mobile phones, which can lead to a sedentary lifestyle and health issues at a young age. College Principal Dr. Archna Garg thanked the Resource Person and praised Mrs. Mukti, Member, Sports Club and her team for their efforts. On this occasion, Dr. Amrik Singh, Retired Associate Professor from SPS Khalsa College, Begowal and staff members from the college were present to attend this informative session. Dr. Jasdeep Kaur, Member, Sports Club skillfully managed the proceedings of the event.

Motive : 1. To promote a healthy lifestyle among students by emphasizing the importance of physical activities.
2. To educate students about the benefits of sports and physical activities in daily life.
3. To encourage students to adopt a sedentary lifestyle-free approach and limit their use of mobile phones.

Outcome : - Students gained awareness about the importance of physical activities in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. They were motivated to adopt a more active lifestyle and reduce their reliance on mobile phones. The lecture promoted a sense of responsibility among students towards their physical health and well-being.
