As per the directions of Magistrate-cum- Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Kapurthala, Students' Legal Literacy Cell of the college organized an Extension lecture on 'Victims of Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation'. This initiative was carried to support legal awareness programmes for women and children in need of care and protection and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP). Advocate Ms. Vibhuti Sharma, Assistant, Legal Aid Defense Counsel, Kapurthala, the Resource Person, enlightened students about legal services like POSCO Act and NALSA Scheme, 2015 to protect women and children from their sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

Motive : To spread an awareness among students regarding their legal rights and services available to safeguard their rights and modesty.

Outcome :Students were encouraged to be aware of their personal safety at all places and were asked to seek the police and legal protection in the face of any inappropriate situation.
