Flag Hosting Ceremony

Celebration of 75th Independence day under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Club. Following activities have been organised from 13 August to 15 August,2022
1.On 13 August 2022 NSS, NCC and Red Ribbon Club of Hindu Kanya College organized a program in the series of activities to commemorate 75th year of Independence. Dr Aman Jyoti, NSS Program Officer informed the students about the importance and history of three colours of our national flag. A video depicting the importance of national flag was also displayed.
2. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Club of Hindu Kanya College Kapurthala organised a Video Making Competition on the topic 'Incredible India' on the eve of 75th Independence day. The aim of this competition was to make the students informed and vigilant about the uniqueness in cultural heritage, food and festivals of India. Various students exhibited their versatility of multimedia skills by participating enthusiastically in this innovative venture. Simran Pathania of BCA 5th sem scored 1st position in this competition.
Same day an essay writing competition was also organised to enhance the knowledge of students and pay homage to our freedom fighters.
3. On 15 August,2022 Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala celebrated the nation's 75th Independence Day and Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign under the aegis of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" and remembered the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. Sh. Tilak Raj Aggarwal, President, Hindu Kanya College, Managing Committee hoisted the National Flag. This was followed by singing of patriotic song "Sare Jahan se Achcha Hindostan Hamara". Dr. Amanjyoti , Assistant Professor in History emphasized the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and made all to take pledge to serve our motherland.College students also presented a Nukkad Natak to emphasize the real meaning of patriotism by avoiding social evils like use of plastic, environment pollution etc. Ms. Priya of B. Com 5th semester and Ms. Jasmeen got first and second prizes respectively for 'Selfie with Tiranga' competition. On this auspicious occasion, Nature Eco Club planted a tree.Cadets of NCC also got medals and certificates for their excellent performance in CATC held by 2 Punjab girls Bn NCC,Jalandhar on this occasion.
