Free Yoga Classes

Department of Physical Education of the college organized 15-Day Yoga classes from 4th to 18th September under the Fit India Campaign launched by Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. These classes were conducted daily from 8 am to 9 am under the expert supervision of Mrs. Mukti, Activity Coordinator and Ms. Amarjit Kaur, faculty from the Physical Education Department.

Outcome : Students were taught how to perform various Yoga Asanas like Surya Namaskar, Pranayam, Sukhasana, Padmasana, Bhujangasana and Tadhasana etc. which are helpful in maintaining good health and improved body posture. They learnt how to maintain mental cleanliness, high level of consciousness and emotional stability. Through the regular practice of Yoga asanas, young students will learn to embrace fitness and healthy living habits over the sedentary lifestyle.
