International Youth Day

Youth acts as a catalyst or the driving force to accelerate the welcoming and revolutionary changes in the modern society.
To highlight the influential role of Youth in moulding the social and national milieu of the present times *International Youth Day* was celebrated by organizing an *Extempore Competition* which was organized by the *Red Ribbon Club of Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala* Total 12 students of 11th and 12th Grades participated in this competition and expressed their views on the pertinent topics given to them on the spot. Kritika, student of 10+2( Commerce),Roll No. -902 captured everyone's attention and got the first position. Prabhpreet, student of 10+1( Commerce), Roll No.- 439 bagged the 2nd position. Third position was won by two students namely Sukhrajdeep Kaur from 10+2( Commerce), Roll No.- 930 and Ashmita from 10+1( Commerce), Roll No.- 451. Dr. Archna Garg, Principal of the college appreciated the efforts invested by the organizers and applauded the participants' zeal, energy and expression. Judgement of the competition was finalized by Dr. Anupam Sabharwal, IQAC Coordinator and Head, Department of Economics, Mrs. Jasdeep Kaur, Assistant Professor, P.G. Department of Punjabi and Ms. Reena Salota from Department of English. Mrs. Sarika Kanda, Incharge of Red Ribbon Club and Head, Department of Fashion Designing and Home Science organized the event successfully and encouraged the young students to realize their significant role in shaping the very face of India today. Mrs. Avninder Kaur, Member of Red Ribbon Club and Assistant Professor from Department of Fashion Designing was also present during the event.
