An online Panel Discussion on Post Budget Analysis was conducted by the Department of Economics on 10th March 2022. The eminent panelists of this LIVE session were Dr. Rabi Narayan Kar, Principal Shyamlal College, University of Delhi, Dr. Lakhwinder Singh, former professor of Economics and Coordinator, Centre for Development Economics Innovation studies Punjab University, Patiala and Dr. Sidharth Mishra, Professor chairperson, Vivekananda School of Journalism & Mass Communication, IP University, New Delhi. Dr. Rabi Narayan Kar enlightened the audience with his topic "Budget 2022- a Holistic Approach and. its Consolidation with PM. Gati Shakti, financing investment and productivity enhancement. Dr. Lakhwinder Singh deliberated on the Macro principles of budget and stated it as a tool of public policy. He also expressed his views on privatization, capital expenditure and the Indian economy's structural Vs. temporary shocks. In the concluding remarks, Dr. Sidharth Mishra shared his observations and ideas with everyone regarding the thrust areas of the Budget and its impact on the Indian Economy. Dr. Mishra also highlighted the current social-economic environment and repercussions of affairs like Russia Ukraine war, the evacuation of students and many contemporary topics. Dr. Anupam Sabharwal, Head Department of Economics interacted with the panelists over various issues related to the Indian Budget.
