Tree Plantation on World Environment Day

On June 5th, 2021, World Environment Day was celebrated by the NSS units of Hindu Kanya College by planting 25 saplings of different varieties in the Government Elementary School of village Rupanpur under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Archna Garg.
Red Ribbon Club Volunteers celebrated environment day by planting saplings in and around their homes.

Motive: The main purpose of celebrating this day was to inform the villagers and volunteers about the importance of trees. On that day, apart from planting saplings in the village, the villagers were also made aware to plant more and more saplings to keep the environment pure. As part of this activity, the volunteers of the NSS units also distributed saplings to the villagers. Plantation started by Sarpanch Sulkhan Singh of the village by planted a neem tree. Herbal plants were planted in different parts of the Elementary School.

Outcome: As a result of this activity, the villagers and NSS volunteers came to know that plants play a very important role in protecting the environment.
