A Two-Day Hands- On Workshop on 'Best out of Waste' for the staff members was organized by the Eco Club on November 21–22, 2025 under the guidance of Environment Education Programme (E.E.P.), Punjab State Council for Science and Technology and the State Nodal Agency of the Ministry of Forests and Climate Change, Government of India. The Officiating Principal of the College, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur graced the event as the Chief Guest. The objective of the workshop was to promote creative and effective reuse of waste materials. On the first day, Mrs. Avninder Kaur and Ms. Harkirat Kaur demonstrated how to make bags from the used and discarded T-shirts. On the second day, Ms. Raveena demonstrated how to make attractive potli bags from the waste dress materials, while Mrs. Harmeen Kaur showed how to convert old T-shirts into aprons. To entertain the participants, a few fun games were also organized, which made the event enjoyable. Staff members also practised making bags.

Motive: 1. To promote creative reuse of waste materials among staff members, fostering a culture of sustainability.
2. To equip staff with skills and knowledge to create useful items from discarded materials.
3. To encourage environmentally responsible practices and reduce waste generation.

Outcome: Staff members learned innovative ways to re-use waste dress materials, such as making bags from old T-shirts and dress materials. The workshop empowered staff to adopt sustainable practices and promote environmental conservation in their personal and professional lives. The hands-on experience and interactive games made the event engaging, encouraging staff to apply their new skills and share them with others.
