A Webinar on the theme, 'Challenges in Learning English' was arranged by the English Literary Society of the Department of English to address the common problems faced by the students while learning English language.

Motive : To provide solutions to the students for overcoming the issues associated with vocabulary, pronunciation and correct construction of sentences.

Outcome : Students were enlightened by the Resource Person's plethora of knowledge. Dr. Gurupdesh highlighted the importance of seven main Challenges in learning the international language, i.e. English which included teaching correct pronunciation to students, knowing the stress in words, strong and weak parts in sentences, framing words and sentences on one given topic with the help of clue words and good vocabulary. The enlightening webinar was followed by an interactive session where keen participants asked questions and while satisfying the queries of the participants, Prof. Gurupdesh Singh also emphasised on the relevance of translation method to synthesise two languages and to make young students understand the complex English vocabulary easily. Through this interactive webinar students were acquainted with the tips to improve their communication skills.
