"If you are not updated, you are outdated", quoted Dr. S. N. Suresh, Vice Principal and Director, IQAC from Rathinam College of Arts and Science, Echanari Coimbatore, who chaired the Webinar organized by the Staff Academy of Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala on 'Pedagogical Approaches' held on 3rd April 2024. Dr. Suresh said that the importance and need of the pedagogical innovations have increased recently as these provide teachers an insight into the latest and the best teaching approaches so that they can tailor their lesson to suit the diverse needs of the young learners in the present scenario. Dr. Suresh said that the innovative teaching methods encourage students and teachers to do the research, explore, and use all the tools to uncover something new. He elaborated the characteristics of a good teacher and the pedagogical approaches and methods. He said that the innovative teaching approaches improve the quality of the content delivery and learning outcomes because these compel teachers as well as students to use a higher level of thinking to solve the complex problems and improve their relationship. He said that the goal of these teaching methods and approaches is to increase students' engagement and prepare them for the up coming future.
