The Department of Fashion Designing of Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala organized a Workshop on, 'Redesign of dresses from old Dupattas 'on 9th April 2024 with an objective to provide the practical training to it's students about the latest techniques of cutting and stitching of Cord-set as well as to enhance their conceptual knowledge. Mrs. Gagandeep kaur, Owner of Sui Dhaga Boutique,Kapurthala gave demonstrations to the students about how to make cord-set and Kaftan from old Dupattas.The students from the Home Science and Fashion Designing Department participated in this workshop with full zeal. Mrs. Sarika Kanda, the Head of the Department, thanked the expert. Principal Dr. Archna Garg appreciated the efforts of the department on the success of the programme and encouraged them to organize similar workshops in the future for providing hands-on skill to the students.
