Commemoration of World AIDS Day at Hindu Kanya College

Red Ribbon Club and NSS Units of Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala observed World AIDS Day on December 2, 2024 to raise awareness about the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS. A poignant oath ceremony was conducted, wherein 125 students and teacher in-charges participated, pledging to actively contribute towards AIDS awareness and prevention. Mrs. Sarika Kanda, Convener, Red Ribbon Club, Dr. Amanjyoti, Mrs. Suvit Das, NSS Programme Officers and Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Member, Red Ribbon Club and other staff members were present to organize this event.

Motive: The event aimed to educate, motivate and empower young students to become catalysts of change in the fight against HIV/AIDS, ultimately fostering a society that is informed, inclusive and compassionate.

Outcome: Students learned prevention from HIV/AIDS
