Mrs. Promila Arora addressed the students, highlighting the significance of books in teaching life skills and enriching life experiences. She recited her poem, "If you want to get addicted, get addicted to reading books," emphasizing the importance of reading for the younger generation. Sardar Kanwar Iqbal Singh noted that poetry is a source of inspiration for students and books on language and literature motivate individuals to move forward in life. Dr. Paramjit Singh Mansa discussed the greatness of Indian culture and civilization, emphasizing that ancient scriptures are a treasure trove of knowledge. He highlighted the role of teachers in imparting knowledge and connecting students with books and great scriptures. Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur stressed the importance of developing a deep connection with books for knowledge acquisition, noting that despite the changing times and the rise of the internet, books remain as relevant as ever. College Principal Dr. Archna Garg stated that the books are true friends that guide us in life and help us reach new heights. The event witnessed the active involvement of faculty members, including Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, Head, P.G. Department of Hindi, Dr. Bhupinder Kaur, Head, P.G. Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar demonstrated Pranayama and various Yoga Asanas, highlighting their benefits in improving physical strength, mind coordination and flexibility while relieving stress. The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation from students, teaching and non-teaching staff.

The tour aimed to enhance students' knowledge and connect them with India's rich heritage by visiting historical and recreational sites at Delhi. Twenty students participated in the tour, visiting Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk Market, Qutub Minar, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Museum, Amrit Udyan, Rakab Ganj Gurdwara Sahib, Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple, Raj Ghat, Birla Temple, Sarojini Market, Karol Bagh Market, Akshardham and Iskcon Temple. The tour was undertaken under the supervision of Mrs. Seema Rani, Mrs. Renu Soni, Mr. Sanjeev Sharma and Mr. Buggan Thakur.

669 | Commemoration of 'World Water Day' | 03-04-2025 | Approved | NCC Unit of the College affiliated with 21 Punjab Batallion NCC Kapurthala observed World Water Day. Cadet Preeti, Cadet Leela and Cadet Rupinder expressed their concerns regarding water wastage and suggested ways for water conservation to address the issue. Cadet Amanpreet sang a song 'Ganga tera pani amrit'. On this occasion, a pledge was also taken by the cadets to reduce water wastage. College Principal Dr. Archna Garg applauded CTO Mrs. Davinder Kaur for organizing this awareness activity.
Motive : To raise awareness about water conservation and promote sustainable use of water resources among NCC cadets.

Ms. Kashish Bhargav of B.Com.-6th Semester won the coveted title of Miss HKC and Ms.Vidhi Sharma of B. Com. - 6th Semester got the title of Runner- up respectively . College Principal Dr. Archna Garg presided over the function as the Chief Guest. From the College Management Committee, President Shri Tilak Raj Aggarwal and Joint Secretary Mrs. Adarsh Parti graced the occasion as the special guests. Students of UG 6th Semester, P.G.- 4th semester, Diplomas of 2nd semester and teachers were engaged in different entertaining games. Students exhibited their emotions and talents through songs, dances, speeches and videos. 23 students from the outgoing classes competed for the title of Miss HKC. Mrs. Sarika Kanda, Head of the Department of Home Science, Dr. Parmjit Kaur, Head, Department of Music and Dr. Jasdeep Kaur from the P.G.Department of Punjabi adjudged the Miss HKC competition. Students were also felicitated with charming tags as per their personality traits. Madam Principal bestowed her blessings and best wishes to the outgoing students and encouraged them to pursue and fulfil their cherished dreams in life. Dr. Ritu Gupta, Coordinator of the Farewell Committee paid her gratitude to the guests for gracing the function and event incharges for organizing this function successfully.

The event featured renowned guests Mrs. Dolly Guleria, Punjabi folk singer, Dr. Navdeep, Medical Officer, Punjab Health Services and Journalist Dr. Seema Anand Chopra. Shri Tilak Raj Aggarwal, President, College Management Committee presided over the function. Elite women from the city and mothers of the participants were also present to add the grace. While sharing her experience, Dr. Navdeep emphasized strong determination and self-control, while Dr. Seema Anand Chopra spoke about recognizing inner talent and using journalism for social change. Mrs. Dolly Guleria shared her personal experiences and the importance of acquiring and sharing knowledge. On this occasion, Parveen Kaur, student of B.A. 2nd Semester, winner of Heartfulness organization's essay competition, was also felicitated.

Mrs. Ekta Ahuja from Sundarta Family Salon and Academy, Kapurthala shared detailed information on preparing the base before applying the makeup and laid emphasis on cleansing, toning and moisturizing the skin. She emphasized the importance of enhancing overall impact with proper eye makeup and facial makeup. She also highlighted the importance of bridal makeup by stating that this field offers high returns on the feasible investment. She patiently addressed students' queries and provided satisfactory answers.
