Unnat Bharat Abhiyan
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is a Government of India initiative. It is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India.

Objectives
-
To re-emphasize the need for field work, stake-holder interactions and design for societal objectives as the basis of higher education.

To stress on rigorous reporting and useful outputs as central to developing new professions.

To improve development outcomes as a consequence of this research. To develop new professions and new processes to sustain and absorb the outcomes of research.

To foster a new dialogue within the larger community on science, society and the environment and to develop a sense of dignity and collective destiny.
Motto
The Mission of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is to enable higher educational institutions to work with the people of rural India in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth. It also aims to create a virtuous cycle between society and an inclusive academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions and to upgrade the capabilities of both the public and the private sectors in responding to the development needs of rural India.

Electoral Literacy Club
Electoral Literacy Clubs (ELC’s) are platforms to engage college students and people in villages through interesting activities and hands-on experience to sensitise with their electoral rights. It is constituted at the behest of Election Commission of India (ECI) in all the educational institution with a motive to aware and ensures the participation of youth & future voters who are pillars of Indian democracy.

Objectives

The main objective of ELC is to promote awareness of ‘Right to vote’ among students, faculty members and community at large.

-To enable critical thinking on issues related to election rights, democracies and its processes.

-ELC works to educate the future voters about enrolment, and other electoral process like EVM/VVPAT.
-
-To develop a culture of electoral participation and maximize the ethical voting and follow the principle ‘Every vote counts’ and ‘No voters to be left behind’.

College students between the age of 18 to 22 will be the members of Electoral Literacy Club.
