*National Sports Day celebrated at Hindu Kanya College Kapurthala by organising an Inter-Class Tug of War Competition*

Department of Physical Education of Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala commemorated Birth Anniversary of Hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand and National Sports Day by organising an Inter-Class Tug of War Competition on 26th August 2023. 7 teams comprising 70 students named after famous Indian Sportspersons participated enthusiastically. The Team "Mary Kom" became the winner of the event, whereas Team "P.V. Sindhu" got the Runner-up position. Madam Principal, Dr. Archna Garg congratulated the winning team and encouraged all students to participate in such fun-filled energetic competitions which not only foster team spirit but also strengthen them morally and physically. On this occasion, Dr. Ritu Gupta, Convener, IQAC was also present. The competition was conducted under the superb supervision of Mrs. Mukti and Ms. Amarjit Kaur, faculty from Physical Education.
